You Will Need: 0.6mm (22 gauge) sterling silver sheet, a pair of dividers, a bench peg, a jewellers saw, 2/0 saw blades.

Once you have all of your coins ready you can prepare the back plates.

Take a sheet 0.6mm (22 gauge) of sterling silver sheet and place the first of the silver clay coins on top. Use a pair of dividers to scribe a square border around the coin with at least a 3mm edge all the way around (this will leave enough room to create the frame).

Place the silver sheet onto your bench peg and use your jewellers saw to saw out a square or rectangle of silver for each of the coins.

Don’t forget to remove the plastic coating from both sides before moving on to the next step!
