You Will Need: A flat needle file, a rounded needle file, sanding sponges, a barrel polisher and polishing compound, or whichever polishing method you prefer.

Once the bracelet is fully pickled and you’re happy with how it’s looking you can begin to tidy up and refine the details.

Remove any saw marks and sharp edges from the ‘T’ bar using first a flat needle file and sanding pads, working from the coarsest grit to the finest grit until it’s beginning to shine, and remove any excess solder from each of the jump rings use a flat needle file for the outside edges and a curved one for the inside edges. Finish and polish each one of them using sanding sponges.

Check all the surfaces of your bracelet to make sure you remove any scratches or imperfections. It may take a little time to refine the details but it’s worth the effort as it will really make a difference to the look of the finished piece.

You can polish your bracelet using whichever polishing method you prefer, but for an all-over shine with matte details I would recommend popping your bracelet in the barrel polisher for around one hour or until it is shiny, with just the inside of the frame and details remaining matte.
