You Will Need: Perspex sheet or a playing card OR A kiln or oven, wire mesh, and firing fork, a mirror

It’s really important that your silver clay is fully dry before firing. You can either leave the clay to dry on the acrylic sheet or playing card at room temperature for at least 24 hours or dry it in a kiln or oven.  To kiln or oven dry your clay place it on a wire mesh and fire it at 150C / 300F for around 10 minutes. Once removed from the oven or kiln let the clay cool naturally.

If you’re not sure whether the clay is fully dry, place it onto a mirror for 30 seconds before removing it. If there is any condensation left on the glass then the piece needs more drying time.
