You Will Need: A fire brick, a turntable, a cotter pin, flux, fine steel tweezers, hard silver solder, a blowtorch, a soldering probe, brass tweezers, fresh water, pickle, pickling unit, copper tweezers

To solder the frame to the back plate place your fire brick on a turntable and place a cotter pin on a fire brick. Balance the coin and frame onto the cotter pin and paint the inside and the outside of the frame with flux.

Use your fine steel tweezers to place four pieces of hard silver solder (one by each stitch) around the frame with the flat side facing down and the edges pushed up against the frame.

Turn on your blowtorch and gently heat the whole piece evenly while turning the turntable. If any of the pieces of solder move away from the join, use your soldering probe to gently push them back in place. Keep heating until the solder runs and you can see a shiny solder line all the way around the join.

Use your brass tweezers to quench your piece in fresh water and pop it in the pickle

Repeat for the other five coins.
